Job Description
The Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo has a vacant position for a secretary. The position also includes consular work. Key responsibilities
- Protocol work, liaising with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in JapanContact and appointment booking with ministries and other organizationsAdministrative assistance for visiting delegations, including travel bookingAdministrative assistance for diplomatsInternal and external event planning and supportMaintenance of electronic event databaseConsular assistance to Norwegian citizensOther administrative tasks as needed
It is a varied position which requires interaction with the entire Embassy and Team Norway in Japan. You would be a part of a friendly and inclusive working environment, informal and respectful of everybody.

Qualifications
Previous experience working as an office assistant or executive assistant is a must. Experience working for a foreign mission or an international organization is favored. Native level written and spoken Japanese is necessary, as is good command of written and spoken English. Computer literacy, including the use of MS Office, is necessary.
