About the YPAT: UNICEF East Asia and Pacific’s Young People’s Action Team (YPAT) is established to ensure that young people are meaningfully engaged in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of UNICEF’s regional programmes and campaigns. From participating in regional and global events and forums to peer-to-peer networking and mentorship opportunities, YPAT members have access to various opportunities to further develop themselves as leaders.

In line with UNICEF Country Office practices in the region, young participants would benefit
from their YPAT membership in the following ways:
- Certificate of participation, based on active participation, upon completing 1 year of YPAT Membership, and certificate of participation for various trainings, as relevant;
- Opportunity to increase their regional network with a diverse group of like-minded peers;
- Greater understanding of UNICEF work on the ground and issues facing young people in the region, which may support their career development and aspirations;
- Increased skills in communication, negotiation, advocacy, organization, problem-solving and research, developed through experiential learning and through focused workshops;
- Increased visibility for their causes and/or organisations through exposure to UNICEF
and at regional and global events (i.e. ASEAN, COP, and others).
対象・条件
Candidate requirements:
● Young people from across the East Asia and Pacific region
● Ages of 15-24 years old
● Passionate about children's and young people's rights
● Experienced in organizing or leading social impact initiatives with and for young people
● Able to commit a minimum of 8-10 hours/month for one year to virtual and/or in-person meetings
