概要:U.S. Commercial Service Internship at the U.S. Consulate General, Osaka-Kobe
We are accepting applications on a rolling basis.
Payment and Benefits
- Internships are unpaid.
- The U.S. Consulate General, Osaka-Kobe does not provide housing, commuting stipends or financial benefits of any kind.
- Selected interns must sign a Volunteer Agreement indicating their understanding that the U.S. Consulate General, Osaka-Kobe cannot be responsible for workplace related injuries and/or medical costs. Interns are encouraged to have their own medical and liability insurance and can check with home universities about such options.
- Student should discuss receiving academic credit with their academic institution. Documentation of work or signing of forms can be provided.

対象・条件
- Student must be enrolled in an academic program during the full period of their internship.
- Student must be highly proficient in both English and Japanese languages (approximately TOEFL 550/IBT90/TOEIC 800, JLPT N2).
- Student must be able to commit at the minimum of 2 months and 16 hours a week during the Fall (September – December) and the Winter/Spring (January – May).
- Student must be able to commit a minimum of 2 months and 24 hours a week during the Summer (May – September).
- Priority will be given to qualifying candidates who commit to longer periods of time/more hours per week.

- Demonstrate professionalism, resourcefulness, and personal motivation
- Be able to work independently or in groups
- Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Have a relevant major like economics, international relations, or political science
- Upon selection, student must pass a security clearance investigation in order to work at the U.S. Consulate General, Osaka-Kobe (may take 1-3 months).
